MisterJingles Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Hi guys Can anyone tell me if there is a way to import shape files into Autocad LT? I have tried using the freeware converters such as Cadtools but have no way of opening the avx file, also tried Import Shape from ABCAutocad but have hit a wall there too. This made me wonder if its even possible in LT. I managed to install the Import Shape program but it installs a bunch of files I don't think I am able to use. It gives me the following error when I run the SCR it installs. "Command: (defun LISP command is not available." Any help? Quote
Murph_map Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 If this is a one time import get a trial version of AutoCAD MAP3D. If you need it full time then look at MapWorks from Dotsoft. Another way is google for shp to dxf converters and use a dxf file with AutoCAD LT. Quote
rkmcswain Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 .... then look at MapWorks from Dotsoft. Will Mapworks run on LT? If not, Dotsoft also has a standalone to convert shape files to DXF that can be opened in LT. http://www.dotsoft.com/ltcomp/gis2dwg.htm Quote
