Rhayes Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Where can i find Details in Metric.??? I use AA-2008 and use Imperial most of the time. Know I need to make a floor plan using metric scale and non of my details come in correctly.??? Quote
ReMark Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 If you're details are not coming in correctly then it is a matter of getting the right scale factor upon insertion and also inserting at a uniform scale for both X and Y (usually the default). What insertion scale were you using? Quote
ReMark Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 You're working with metric details in a metric drawing? Quote
Rhayes Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Drawing in Metric and want to bring in furnature details. Quote
ReMark Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Metric details into a metric drawing shouldn't be a problem. I don't understand why the details you've tried to bring in do not come in correctly. Maybe I'm missing something. Were you using details done in an Imperial scale? Quote
Rhayes Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Yes, I only use Imperial and now I need to make my floor plan in metric. Quote
feargt Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Set your drawing units to meters first. then when u insert your block it should automatically scale correctly. If you are having problems then, try it using meters for your drawing and insert a block that you know is in feet. this will automatically come into ur drawing converted to metric size Quote
cadvision Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 25.4mm = 1 inch, so scale your furnature according. In New Zealand we normally work in millimetres as the unit, unless you are doing a civil drawing, which might be in metres. I have noticed in Europe they seem to use cm in their drawings. Quote
Dipali Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 set insunits value correctly in both the drawings. if your imperial dawing/blocks are unitless it will take the units of the your new metric drawing. by setting correct value for insuints & alos tools>options>userpreferences?>source units & target units correctly( whatever units are use to draw that particular drawing) it will come in at approprate size in different units drawings Quote
