BlackBox Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 If you're going to be creating an animation using AutoCAD data, files, etc. then I would suggest using 3D Studio Max. If you're wanting to create animations from your own modeling, or for media production (TV, Movies, Web, etc.) then I'd suggest you use Maya. HTH Quote
JNieman Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Autocad can do great walkthroughs. It has the Mental Ray rendering engine built in, iirc, and using the "ANIPATH" command, you can assign camera path, and camera target path, to plines/splies/lines/arcs you draw in your model. It takes a long time to render a decent animation, depending on your visual style or render preferences. Check "ANIPATH" in the help files. Draw a line where you want the camera to move (the viewer's eyes) and a line where the camera to point to (where the person is looking) - then pick a simple shaded visual style "Realistic" - and hit go. After you get the gist of it you can do more complicated things, like long 3dPline paths, and render settings, etc etc. Quote

Cad64 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 TO UNDERSTAND THE ANIMATION THAT IM LOOKING TAKE A LOOK TO http://www.portographics.com/ Look at the 3DWALK, 3DFLY and ANIPATH commands. Quote
JNieman Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 TO UNDERSTAND THE ANIMATION THAT IM LOOKING TAKE A LOOK TO http://www.portographics.com/ That can be done, sure. That's about the limit of Autocad animation, but it can be done. Quote
