dialogue box and dropdown menu creation

hi guys,

i want to know how to create a Dialoge Box and a Dropdown menu.

we use CAMS in my former company, i want to recreate those CAMS, not all of it but normally the usual like:

inserting a tiltle block with attributes by simply one push of an icon.

creating pipes (2d), a prompt will appear asking what diam,etc

 

i just need a simple explaination in how to create this. i have read the basics of macro and lisp.

but i need an expert explaination to make it simplier for me to understand.
