nenadx Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Hi all, just wandering if anybody would know if there are Autocad blocks available for australian standard structural steel connections (beam to beam, beam to column, etc) for download. Thanks. NV Quote
qball Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 if you have a set of steel shop drawings designed by an engineer it's probably simple enough to create them. Quote
BIGAL Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news most companies take a fair bit of effort to create their block libraries and at a cost so are not generally publicy available would you give away something that had cost you a lot of money ? Anyway serach a bit more there is lots of lisps etc that do this and there is a number of commercial products that you can buy that do what you want Struc-plus, Wiseyssteelshapes.zip to start you off. SLW210 Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 if you have a set of steel shop drawings designed by an engineer it's probably simple enough to create them. And you will know they are correct. Even better would be to make dynamic blocks. Quote
ReMark Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Free Aussie steel sections available here will help get you started. http://www.draftsperson.net/index.php?title=Draftsperson.net:Free_AutoCAD_Blocks Quote
