larryboy2911 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I've got a problem with the properties window in AutoCAD 2009 where it won't display any properties within the window and it opens up across both my displays with a blank screen. I'm attaching a screenshot to show what I'm talking about. PLEASE HELP! This is extremely disabling. Aaron Quote
Rebel Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I've had this problem as well although i can't remember exactly what caused it. It has something to do with the way you have the pallette docked. I think, it happens when you dock the pallete but turn autohide off. Try messing with those options and let us know what you find. Quote
acadesign09 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 It seems I've experienced this problem, what I did is that I click the options below, options such as Autocad Classic, 3D Modelling and others, just I click any options then it will go back to the default settings automatically. Quote
larryboy2911 Posted August 31, 2011 Author Posted August 31, 2011 Thanks for the replies. I think it had something to do with the 3D modeling option as described, but in my haste, I decided to just reinstall the whole program (which also solved the problem). It's sort of a sledge hammer fix, but it did the trick. Quote
nestly Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Hasty or otherwise, I think you probably saved yourself some grief. AutoCAD Knowledge Base: Properties palette blank after selecting object Quote
larryboy2911 Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 GRRR. Ok, it's doing it again. The properties window has two problems, one) when I type "properties" in any workspace and in any drawing it comes up as shown below. It doesn't display any properties to adjust and two) it won't allow any adjustments in the window size. It will dock properly, but it won't display anything. HELP!! I don't want to have to reinstall ACAD everytime this happens. Quote
larryboy2911 Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 Not sure anyone could see the previous post screenshot. Quote
larryboy2911 Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 I figured it out. Here's what lead me to that conclusion. http://autodesk.blogs.com/between_the_lines/2007/08/no-properties-i.html Apparently, my registry cleaner program cleaned out some files that ACAD uses. So I had to repair the installation and reinstall my settings. Quote
