I am using Mac version of Autocad 2011. When I was editing a reference, I accidentally save and close the drawing. I re-open the drawing, it is stuck in the Reference Editor mode forever without any "save" or close" button. I tried all REFCLOSE, BCLOSE... nothing works.

All experts, please help. I am handing in the drawing tomorrow.

Appreciate your help very much!

How did you manage to do that? :? I just tried it and got a message at the command line that said "Drawing save not allowed during reference editing", which means it's impossible to do what you did. Unless it's a bug in the Mac version that allows you to save and close during reference editing?

Try this. Open a new, blank drawing. Insert your drawing into the new drawing and then explode it.

I think regular AutoCAD also has/had the same problem if the drawing was closed while the block editor was open. There's a hotfix for 2012, and I also seem to recall that RECOVER could correct the issue. I'm sure that particular hotfix is not for Mac, but if the Mac version has RECOVER, I don't think it can hurt to try.
