edwin2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Can somebody help me with my xref reloading in acad v2011, it's not working-but the xref file is in the folder and in the right path as well. I am getting nuts, please help!. Thanks, edwin Quote
edwin2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 Neither of the working file or reference has not been moved, I was just editing the ref in place, saved. The next time I opened the working files-reference file isn't showing. Quote
acadesign09 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Try to reload the reference again. Quote
SLW210 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I usually have to just reattach them. I have never had much luck with reload either. Quote
edwin2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 Sad to say that I even tried detaching the reference then reinserted but no luck. Quote
DANIEL Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 have you tried doing a recover on the file and the base file you edited? Quote
redbeardcad Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I try to insert my XREFs on a layer called XREF. Once I dicovered that my xref was gone. Turns out I had inserted into the hatch layer and I had turned that layer off in the one viewport. It didn't show in model either because it was off there too. Is this a possibility for your XREF? If that were the case, wouldn't it show up as loaded in the XREF Manager? Quote
redbeardcad Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I suppose you are right. When it needs reloading it shows that it "needs reloading" Guess I'll stick to viewing and posting questions. Quote

qball Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 has the xref been CLIPed? has the reference file objects moved on the drawing file? something to do with VISRETAIN or layers in the original file? Does the xref palette say "Not Found", "Needs Reloading"?....... what? Quote

Keep on answering questions. I see no evidence I was right, we will not know that until the OP responds. I was merely pointing out an observation on your answer. Quote
