REVIT MEP 2011 Changing wire line to be dashed or hidden...

Is there a way to change the properties of a wire to be a dashed or hidden line to represent being underground? Am I over-looking something blantantly obvious here or what?

*note* without changing EVERY wire in the drawing to a hidden or dashed line.

Since REVIT MEP 2011 is so advanced to not allow something as simple as a wire that needs to be illustrated as underground (what a concept) thru some tinkering i managed to create a (non-intelligent) hidden line to look like an underground wire. Sometimes I think this program is the most asinine thing on the planet.

Gotta love Revit. ;)

Still, I see great intuition in the program even though is lacks. It's still a maturing program that's for sure.

It's amusing at times, frustrating at most though, that the things we want upgraded get left behind and the things we make work-arounds for get upgraded.

For instance, the OP's issue. I doubt it will get changed any time soon.

-Revision Clouds: TONS complain about them. It's an inter-discipline object that everyone hates. UNCHANGED

-Electrical Schedules: I didn't know anything was wrong, but they got upgraded!

Wtf Autodesk? Please fix the simple things first? K.I.S.S. and it's a lot more effective.

Hey Nickster,

Just wondering if when you mean changing the wire, are you refering to one branch circuit? or are talking about annotative lines??

I would say if it is the branch circuit wiring, I would just delete that 1 run, draw a spline with the line tool, and change that spline to hidden.

Definately not a fix, but works for me.
