Mike2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I created several dynamic blocks to aid me in designing a project and put them into a tool palette. I can drag them into my drawing and all of the dynamic functions I included work as expected. However, when I use the BCount command to list what is in the drawing, a message is returned instead that says no valid objects have been selected. I have used dynamic blocks countless times before and thought I had created these new ones in the same way. What did I do wrong? Thanks Quote
qball Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 can you post the file? I don't normally use bcount. But I just tried it on a drawing with the same conditions as you mention and it worked. Quote
Jack_O'neill Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Just guessing without seeing exactly what you are doing, but if you are running bcount from a script or lisp, look to see if you have included an extra "enter" after the command. That is needed to "select all". Also, if you explode the block, bcount won't see it if I remember correctly. Quote
Mike2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Author Posted September 15, 2011 Attached is the drawing file. The blocks are simple ones used to construct shelving rows and oriented in the drawing as I created them. If you use BCount as they are shown, it will work. If you rotate the blocks 90 degrees, BCount won't recognize them. Dyn Blk Issue.dwg Quote
