Import data from excel and assign to lisp command

Dear all

Please help me out if anyone can guide me to make this program easier to the user. I have written a program "LS_9M.LSP", in this program we need to enter more than 30 values. If any of the value is entered mistake we need to run the program from the starting. So to avoid this the values which are to be entered are in the excel sheet, So in this connection I would like to assign all these values to the 37 prompts by importing the excel sheet.

So please kindly how can I assign the values without asking the 37 prompts at the command prompt.

The two files are attached along with this Mesg.

1. LS_9M.lsp

2. Sample1.xls

Waiting for the best results from AutoLISP Best Exp. Gurus

Thanks in ADVANCE

I would first try sending this to the area in the forum that will direct people who are looking to answer questions about this kind of thing. The chat area is more like the freeloaders BS time while "working". Not everyone who knows about your subject will be looking here to answer.

Would a moderator be kind enough to move this thread to the LISP forum?

Where's the beer?

... In the two competing 'drinks' threads (that should also be merged)?

Your lisp is Ok but what you need is a front end a visual input probably using a DCL

with multiple boxes to input the values in. Yes it is a big job but will pay off, the DCl can have sliders and preset values to make life a lot easier even down to multi pages. You can have images apear showing input required.

See my solution on AUGI :

I see that you posted the same thread on CadTutor...

Dood' date=' if you saw that the OP posted at CADTutor, *and* you took the time to post here (at CADTutor), then why on God's green Earth are you asking the OP (if not others who are interested) to check your post - the only reply post - over at AUGI, when nine (9) other replies have already been posted here!?

... In the future, consider NOT making more work for others, please? Thanks.

Its not my mistake, its OP mistaken by posting 2 same topics at 2 different places...

How would you inform others that you posted reply on other site?

Anyway, I appreciate your concern, next time I'll post reply where are more replies already posted...

I couldn't agree with you more, Marko... This is just one of my pet peeves, that's all. o:)

You may be 'new' here at CADTutor, but I know you're not new to the CAD forum community... I hope I did not offend, my friend.

Thank you Marko; I appreciate your consideration.

Continuing on how many of these do you draw a week the code looks like a 1 off for a task that could be just drawn.

Post a dwg of what it looks like or image. I am to lazy to guess the values.
