Printing problems with windows 7 64 bit

I just upgraded on of our secretaries computers and it has a Windows 7 64 bit OS. She does some minor CAD revisions and is using Autocad 2002 LT. The problem is when we go to print, Autocad is not finding any of the printers we have installed. Is there drivers that work, or are we going to need to upgrade it to ACAD 2011?

There a number of things that you need to check, but I guess to start out... are there printers and printer Drivers installed on the computer? When upgrading to something like a new windows session like that, you will have out of date drviers, and or ones not compatible with 64 bit. check and make sure the printers/plotters show up in the control panel, and that you can print something simple like a word doc. from them.

Yes, she's able to print a document from Word. The printers show up in control panel, they just do not show up in Autocad when you go to plotter manager.

Also, are there any PC3 located there in the folder? When you go to "Options" and under "Files" are there any file locations under the Printer Support File Path?

Last one... In OPTIONS on the Plot and Publish tab there is a box that says Hide system printers. Make sure that box is not checked.

A HA! That worked. I was able to add our large Toshiba copier/printer using the system printer option in the Add a Plotter Wizard. What was screwing with me is I was trying to find that wizard on my 2010 version of Autocad LT and couldn't find it. I went to her machine and found it right away. Oh well, she's printing now....thanks for the help!

No Problem, and try that last step too, it should allow your system printers w/o pc3 files to come though when you use the PLOT command. Happy to help.
