cadman6735 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I think AutoCAD is looking for something but I don't know what? How can I check to see what AutoCAD is looking for when it stops and spinns (Spin = hour glass) Sometimes after entering a command, any command AutoCAD will stall and the little blue circle where the curser should be starts to spin for about 10 - 30 seconds. I think it is looking for the license server since I do know that this server is having some issue, the IT department told me they are about to replace it but everytime I mention that I think it is the licenses server is the reason AutoCAD stalls, they take a very defensive stand and so "No it must be AutoCrap" HOw can I check to see what AutoCAD is doing when it stalls? thanks I am using AutoCAD Arch 2012 Quote
rkent Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Use Process Monitor to find where AutoCAD is freezing or slowing down, go to this link for details=> http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645 Quote

ReMark Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Have you checked your support file paths at all? Quote
cadman6735 Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 ReMark Yes, but everything seems to be ok, as far as I can tell anyway, the thing is I have two profiles one for inhouse network and one for laptop out of house where everything is looking on the C:drive.... Long story why we set it that way but non the less, When a laptop user is in house they still use the laptop C:drive profile and this spin accors on (when I wittnessed it) 3 machines at the same time, 2 being network profiles and one being a laptop profile. This leads me to think that it is a license issue, it is the only thing I can think of. Quote
