I cant figure out an efficient way to hallow something out after it is a 3d solid. Usually if I want this I will draw it in 2d knowing I will extrude one region and not the other. My problem comes with a sphere. I need to put a square hole through it. Its probably an easy 123 operation but am unfamiliar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HOLLOW out?

Couldn't you just extrude a square and subtract it from your sphere?

Or you could draw a square and use the PushPull command to punch through the sphere.

Really? You must be a very good designer then to be able to avoid using Subtract.

Have you used Slice at all?

SHELL is a good command for what you are after.
