raimob Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 How can I open or export or inport BXF File in autocad 2012??? Quote
ReMark Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 What program generates a BXF file type? Are you sure you don't mean DXF? Quote
raimob Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 BXF DYNALOG! In 2008 i saw bxf icon!!! but in 2012?!?!?! Quote
ReMark Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Really? A BXF icon in AutoCAD 2008? I've got access to 2004, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 and I can't ever recall a BXF icon. Where was it located? I'd like to see it. So what is BXF DYNALOG actually used for? I think you are just having some fun with us. I went to the AutoDesk website and did a search there for BXF and got no hits. If there was a BXF icon in AutoCAD 2008 don't you think there would be a reference to it at the AutoDesk website? From codeplex.com: BXF Basic Xaml Framework (Bxf) is a simple, streamlined set of UI components designed to demonstrate the minimum framework functionality required to make MVVM work well while leveraging the Visual Studio 2010 XAML designer ("Cider"). Bxf works with Silverlight, WPF and WP7. The Bxf download includes the framework binaries, along with sample application code for WPF, Silverlight and Windows Phone. Apparently no one thought to include AutoCAD in the list of what BXF works with. I wonder why? Quote
Jeff H Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Get mainly hits that are sites trying to sell registry software. Maybe http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fileextensions/f/bxffile.htm or might have come from http://www.2000shareware.com/downloads/file/bxf/cad/ of course did not want to check change .bxf to .dwg and see what happens Quote
ReMark Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Changing BXF to DWG won't work. If it is a text file of some sort maybe changing it to DXF might work but I seriously doubt that too. I read that first link you posted as well but did you notice the LACK of any real useful information? Quote
raimob Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Watch the video!!! http://www.blum.com/media/dp2acad/en/dynaplan_autocad_2.htm 34/66 Quote
ReMark Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 No thanks. Why don't you just give us a synopsis. Quote

ReMark Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Let me see if I understand you. The video, that you provided, shows how to add a BXF file to AutoCAD 2008. If you knew how to do it then why did you start this thread? Were you testing us? I have no doubt that you will design a kitchen. I hope you are successful in your endeavor. Please post an image of your design so we can see the results when you are finished. Quote
raimob Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 i cant add this file in 2012 autocad... Quote
ReMark Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 (edited) Then try doing it in 2008. OK...so I watched the video. Maybe I felt sorry for you. Do you have the Blum Dynaplan program installed on your computer? If yes, do you know, for a fact, that it is compatable with AutoCAD 2012? My guess is that the program is NOT and therefore you do not see the BXF icon displayed. You may have to update your software (Dynaplan). Edited September 30, 2011 by ReMark Quote
Organic Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Looking at it it looks like the 'bxf' data format is a properitary format defiend by Blum software the producer of that program you are trying to use. As Remark said, their program probably isn't capable of working with 2012. Edit: Looking at the softwares' website it says it supports both DXF & DWG (at least their latest version does anyway, no mention of a bxf file). Try to export using one of those. You may need to update their software first though. Quote
SLW210 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Yes, it is a cabinet and fitting design package called Blum Dynalog. The Dynalog package will export to .dwg of .dxf as well as other formats. Design data Order DYNALOG directly from your fittings vendor: DYNALOG 2.6 item no. DYA.2642 You can transfer DYNAPLAN dimensioned drawings to CNC machines for automatic manufacturing or to your CAD system. Cabinets planned in DYNAPLAN can be exported to AutoCAD ® and displayed in three dimensions. Supported formats: DXF, DWG CAD data for fittings can be exported to your CAD application. 2-D formats: DXF, DWG 3-D formats: DXF, DWG, SAT, X_T, IGS Fittings data: Support for use in other programs (fittings dealers' ordering systems, calculation programs, etc.). ReMark Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Quoted from the BLUM Dynalog website. AutoCAD® interface: The optional AutoCAD® interface can be installed as soon as you have successfully updated DYNAPLAN to the latest version (2.8.42). This requires that you have an AutoCAD® full version installed (2004-2011). Note: Dynalog 2.5.42, 2.6.42 and 2.7.42 must already be installed prior to installing 2.8.42. Quote
Cad64 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 When in doubt, read the instructions. Quoted from the BLUM Dynalog website. Although it does say This requires that you have an AutoCAD® full version installed (2004-2011). It may not work on 2012. Quote
