Plot.Log

I keep getting a plot.log file even though I do not have the "Automatically save plot and publish log" box checked in the Plot and Publish tab of the Options menu in AutoCAD 2005.

I have searched the registry for a key without success.

Is there another place to set this option?

And if you DO want the log but don't want multiple file creation, select the Create one continuous log check box on the Options, Plot & Publish box.

I had to prove I plotted something once, it came in handy for me to keep it.

You can open *.log files with notepad and shrink out the old crap to reduce the size of the file if it ever gets too big. Storage space is not an issue like it used to be but searching a log that covers a year or more can be kinda tedious.

It's always been there, I think it's a flaw from Autodesk. I bugs the crap out of me so I just delete them constantly. ;)

Same here.

I think I may have found the answer.

Whatever you posted is blocked at my work. Could someone provide the info?

Answer = Website showing a series of screen shots of the following:

Tools > Options > Plot & Publish > Advanced > Under log file location, uncheck Create a Log File.

Tools > Options > Plot & Publish > Plot Stamp Settings>Advanced > Under log file location, uncheck Create a Log File.

I found in 2012 at least that the Advanced choice is under Plot Stamp Settings.

Yes, You are correct at least all the way back to my 2009 version. Good catch. I went too fast again. It is shown to be there as well, in the posted ANSWER link. Thanks.
