ReMark Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 There is a thread here at CADTutor that explains how one forum member accomplished the task. Take a look around. I'm sure you could find it. And, yes, I do have an idea or two myself. Quote
Jack_O'neill Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 If you scroll down below these replies, there is a "similar threads" listing. As I write this there are 5 different ones, one of them with 20 replies. Looks like a fun thing to draw. Good luck with it. Quote

Organic Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Is your course project to make a tire, or is it to make a car and the tire is just part of it? If the latter I would only do a very basic cylinder for the wheels given your 3D skill level at present. This one has pictures: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?23861-Drawing-a-tire-with-thread-pattern That is a great example for making a tyre tread. Quote
miedy12 Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 dink this is my final project the wheels is another part and we will choose to make car, a billiard table, a ak47 gun model through autocad Quote

Bobzy20 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 This is how I learnt to draw a tyre thread: Quote
Bobzy20 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 This is also a great lesson for drawing a nice car wheel: All drawn in SolidWorks although it would be easy to convert the commands into AutoCAD. Quote
