mdd Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 When I print my project to pdf there appears to be a copy (in white) of the text behind all the letters. Any ideas? Quote
SLW210 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Could you post an image of what you seeing? Post the drawing file if possible. Quote
Denimoth Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I can't really be sure if your problem is what I think it is, but I'm guessing since you are posting this in the 3D Modelling thread, that you are plotting something with hidden views? If so, is your text located in Model Space and you have your viewport with the hideplot turned on? I know this causes problems with my Arial text font to appear like it's hollowed out. One solution would be to place text in Paperspace instead. Quote
mdd Posted October 15, 2011 Author Posted October 15, 2011 Denimoth, The text is in model space and it is Arial format. I will try to get a screen print of the drawing up on monday, the "ghosting" effect doesn't show up when I preview the plot, but it is noticeable after plotting to pdf. The drawing is of a distribution power line. The text is in line with the power line. The text definitely has a hallowed out look to it, not familiar with hideplot. Quote
Denimoth Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Not sure if this works for 2011, but when you have the plot window open, check that the "shade plot" option is set to "as displayed" or "wireframe" before plotting. Alternatively, check the properties of your viewport in paperspace (if you're using paperspace) and set the "shade plot" to "as displayed" or "wireframe". Does this fix the ghosting of your text? If not, I don't know what's causing this. It would be helpful to see an image of the effect. FYI, the hideplot is something used to hide the lines and objects located behind other 3D objects when you plot. This thread was posted in the 3D section, so I assumed you had some 3D objects in your drawings. You may have inadvertantly turned on the hideplot feature of viewports, or selected the "hidden" option in the plot window. Quote
