johmmeke Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 thx Lee ... i'm gonna try to make it work for me ... Quote
designerstuart Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 You cannot entmake the Insert entity if the Block Definition doesn't exist in the drawing. The DXF Group 2 code requires only the Block Name, to reference the entry in the Block Table. sorry lee - don't understand the bit about "dxf group 2" - is this approach a no-go? Quote
designerstuart Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 hmmmm - i still haven't got this to work - is there a better way of doing this? i just want to insert a block to a drawing, where the size of the drawing determines which block is inserted. if there is a workaround let me know! until then i am trying to have a lisp ask what size is the layout then if layout = A1 insert block "blockA1" etc done. possible? thanks!
