CitrixGuy Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I've installed AutoCAD 2012, and I can't get the ribbon to appear, can anyone help ? When I type ribbon I get unknown command Quote
ReMark Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Did you experience any problems during the installation phase? One option would be to run a REPAIR upon the installation. This should always be considered before deciding to do an uninstall/reinstall. Quote
CitrixGuy Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Yes, I've done repair, uninstall and reinstall and still no luck, I've created a new AutoCAD profile still no luck, any idea''s Quote
ReMark Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 One idea but it doesn't even seem plausible. Maybe the command is undefined and has to be redefined. But that seems totally insane since this is a new install. Quote
CNatka Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Some dlls, arx file, cuix files, etc are loaded during the launching of the AutoCAD and you need to verify that the files corresponding the ribbon is loaded correctly during launching of the AutoCAD. if other functionalities are not comprised in the installation then some file placement issue is causing the same. It needs to be verified on the system itself and then only the correct diagnosis can be provided. Quote
ReMark Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 How would you suggest the OP verify what files are being loaded? Perhaps you can tell him the procedure. Quote
