JCIMF
I can't explain how cross i am with Autodesk, i have been a long term user of autocad and have recently switched all our works computers to macs ! Fantastic news i here that autodesk decide to release Autocad lt for mac, bad news they only decide to sell it in the US. As we are in the UK this is an issue which was raised with an uncaring Autodesk representative...... We have now decided to move all seats to vector works ! Jack_O'neill
Autodesk hasn't released a Mac product before this in nearly 2 decades, I suspect they are testing the waters to see if it will be worth it.
Organic
But it from the US? Isn't this something you should have checked (or evaluated with oen test computer) before upgrading all the computers to Macs?
ReMark
Well better you are disappointed this way then to have actually made the switch only to find out what AutoDesk failed to include in the port over. Count yourself lucky.
f700es
Yeah why on Earth would a long time AutoDesk user switch to the Mac platform? I just don't see the point or the logic behind it, sorry not really directed at you just at this move. Why, why, why? The hardware is more expensive, you are locked into annual OS updates, sure Lion was only $30 USD but only if you had Snow Leopard. You only have a few choices in boxes, a mac mini that is basically a laptop minus screen, imacs that lock you into an all-in-one format or the over expensive pro towers. Sorry JCIMF but I hope VW works OK for you but I just don't see the ROI in this move. Best of luck
SLW210
Why would this be Autodesk's fault?
