Hi.,

I want to know how to control the gap between the mtext and the leader when using the qleader command.

Also how to maintain the constant gap between the leader and the mtext irrespective of different annotation scales.

This setting is located in your DIMSTYLE. On the TEXT tab, offset from dim line.

If you don't want to edit your entire style, try the 'mleader' or 'mld' command for a leader. It still uses mtext but the leader and the mtext highlight as 1 object and the leader/text settings are fairly easy to edit just through the properties intsead of changing the entire style. The setting you wish to change is called 'landing gap' under the text tab of your properties once you select the mleader. Also, annotating the mleader will also scale your leader arrow as well as your mtext to the appropriate viewport scale.

I like this MLEADER command. I've never used it. One question I have though, how do you do away with the line under the text? I'd like the LANDING to end at the middle right or middle left justification of the text. I went through all of the OPTIONS for MLEADER but found no answers.

Thanks.

I have a button on my toolbar which launches quickleader, which I think is basically MLEADER. When you click this or type QLEADER you can type S for settings.

This brings up a menu that has a "attachment" tab. This then gives you the option to select where you want your line to land in relation to the text.

Yes but I don't find that option in the MLEADER settings. Thanks.
