Slope in MEP 2010 (no slope)

I can't seem to get anything to slope, plumbing line, Pipe, etc.. I've tried everything, Pipe preferences, entering @ command line, @ properties pallette, even tried to apply slope with "slope plumbing " tool on analyze tab. The slope indicator shows up on the screen, but when I go to front view, I never see slope!

got to be something simple I hope- Don

Is there sloping features in AutoCAD MEP 2010? I thought it was in AutoCAD MEP 2011 that sloping features were really available. Unfortunately I don't have 2010 installed anymore.

**EDIT** Okay so sloped piping is in fact in AutoCAD MEP 2010. It was always very easy for me. I would start the pipe add tool, and before I started the run I would set my slope in the Properties Palette, then I would start the pipe run. Is this not working for you?

ditto.... that's the EASY part, try incorporating laterals in the horiz. AND vert. and maintaqin that slopedness... I'm so pissed off at MEP right now....... like teets on a warthog....... :x

oh I abuse the ucs beyond reason..... just try rolling a lateral in the flat (sloped) to a horiz. branch (sloped)... (I mean without constr. lines). point filters mean nadda... arrgggg... think my day is done. I picked a bad year to give up drinkin! :o

Just out of curiosity, but why on Earth are you sloping the horizontal pipe? Is this steam piping, or just a normal gravity pipe like Condensate or something?

And even more out of curiosity, why in the hell did you give up drankin'!!! You're a better man than I.

roof drains on a large bldg. thought I'd let MEP figure the inverts as I have different slopes on diff systems. Anyway yeah it's a pain suprisingly. Think I'll download JAWS (beta) this weekend and see what the new version brings. Yeah the drankin thing... this 50 year old wants his 30 yr old body back... at least till my patience runs out

Ah, I always run my verticals with zero slope. Much easier and just not a necessity to run vertical slopes in my opinion.

silly goose! not the verticals (so much) .. just the horizontal runs with various branches (wye's to 8th bends (suck!).... combination wye's are better but still (don't have all sizes needed).... easier to calc by hand than use the program (or am I really missin the boat on this one?)
