Proctor
Hello: In AutoCAD 2009 is there a way to make a leader line change color with per the layer it is on? thank you for your help, Proctor
tzframpton
Go to your Dimension Styles, click the style you want to edit and click Modify. Go to the "Lines" tab, and under Dimension Lines, select the Color to be "ByLayer". For better control, set it to "ByBlock".

tzframpton
Awesome, glad it did. If you ever get a chance to upgrade your AutoCAD from 2006 to anything newer, you'll be blessed with the opportunity of having Multileaders instead of Leaders.
