Poonizz Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 My grid X and Y spacing is 10 so I changed it to be 1 and click ok. The grid change and then I close the program. When I open Autocad, I have to change the grid spacing again because it's back to 10. Also I try to save the drawing work. The saved one which is already change grid spacing, not have the problem. But open new one, I have to change it again. Have anyone got solution for this problem or have to change it everytime. Thank you a lot. Quote
ReMark Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I thought that all the system variables for GRID were stored with the individual drawing. Most of us gave up using a grid ages ago. Quote
JD Mather Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Haven't used grid since second class back in '87 of last century, but in any case - you should be starting from a custom template that has everything exaclty how you want it - layers, colors, lineweights, dimension styles, paperspace borders/titleblocks ... viewres, facetres, dispsilh ...printer/plotter settings ...and grid if desired. Set it and forget it. Quote
cadvision Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 still use it when laying out electrical schematics. default I have grid at 10 and snap at 5. They need to be set in your DWT file if you are using one. Quote
