Qonfire Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Hello ppl, I have a million pesos question, I often use gradient cylindrical fill to paint pipes, however if gradient has to fill wide boundry it gets distorted, i found the way of making a short block and scaling it, gradient fill is consistent. It's ok but i want to make a dynamic block out of it and i cant, also if i explode this block gradient fill problem reappears (see pic) Basicly i want similar looking hatch but without problem. Quote

Organic Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 That is an interesting question. I tried it and got the same results as you. Couldn't see any obvious solution. Quote
ReMark Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 (edited) My thread should win the lowest responds award. CADTutor offers free AutoCAD Help not necessarily fast AutoCAD Help. Not every question has a simple, quick answer. Be patient. Yes, I know you want to make it a Dynamic Block but why can't you continue to use a scaled block? It seems to work no matter how much it is scaled. Edited December 1, 2011 by ReMark Quote
Qonfire Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 It's not that I'm not patient, it's just I was spoiled in the past by quick answers on this forum. Remark comment noted. I draw a lot of those "pipes", meaning a rectangle of specific length and width. Since,i get this annoying problem with hatch i had to brake long rectangle into pieces and hatch each sections in rectangle and than delete the lines as a boundry that i created, plus many objects for one pipe is a bit messy. than i made a block, place where pipe starts, manually measure the req'd pipe distance and punch it i x scale tab. than with the help of this forum i come up with a lisp that inserts and scales the pipe block. Dynamic block will give me and option of modifying the length by two grips (2ways), access to visibility option. First of all i not very familiar with dynamic block, but i've tried. When block is at its original size its dynamic properties work, when scaled these props disappear. thanks Quote
ReMark Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Fair enough. Armed with the additional information maybe someone here can indeed help you. Quote
SLW210 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Can you post your drawing? No promises, but if i have time I will look into it. Didn't you ask about this in June? Making of Dynamic block problem Quote
