DWG to PDF publish save location

Recommended Posts

Perhaps I have changed a setting inadvertently, although lately the following has been occurring when using the built in AutoCad DWG to PDF plot:

- if I plot a single sheet, I can choose the save location and it is all good

- if I go file publish and print multiple layouts at once (into the pdf), I am not given the option of where it can be saved, instead it is saved in the location the last pdf was (annoying when that is different job folders etc)

What do I need to change to fix it so I can always choose the save location?

In the PUBLISH dialog box there is a button labeled "Publish Options". When one clicks on it the "Publish Options" dialog box appears and right at the top of it one sees the "Default output location (plot to file)" entry. At the very end of the line where it states the current location is a button with three dots on it (I'm assuming this is a "browse" button). Click on it then migrate to the location where you want to save your file. I hope this is what you were searching for.

It works automatically by selecting the folder the .dwg file is saved in when printing a single sheet, it is only when publishing multiple sheets that doesn't do this. Still haven't resolsolved it although haven been too busy trying to get everything done before Christmas to muck around with it.
