tzframpton Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I found this nifty little addition to the COPY command for AutoCAD 2012. Command: COPY Select objects: 1 found Specify base point or [Displacement/mOde] <Displacement>: <Pick a point> Specify second point or [Array] <use first point as displacement>: A Enter number of items to array: <Pick a number> Specify second point or [Fit]: F Granted, LISP routines have been around for ages but it's kinda nice for Autodesk to actually implement some functionality like this. Just thought I'd share. Quote
f700es Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Cool, I'll try it when I get mine going Quote
tzframpton Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 There's actually plenty of new items that I love. OFFSETEDGE is another great one for working in 3D. I don't know how many times that would have saved time and effort in previous modeling jobs I've done. Quote
SLW210 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Express tools COPYM is similar, it gives Array, Measure or Divide option. Quote
tzframpton Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 Ahh, so they just finally adopted the ET command. Well I wish I had known about that command much earlier!! Quote
tzframpton Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 Did you also know you can now XREF a native Photoshop file (*.PSD File) directly into AutoCAD now, using the IMAGEATTACH option in AutoCAD 2012? Works beautifully. Quote
SLW210 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 What does offsetedge accomplish? Sounds useful. Quote
