Solidworks Basic Sketch Misalignment Issue

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Sorry this is a really basic issue. Maybe due to graphics setup. But I am struggling to find a solution.

When drawing circles everything looks good initially. But when zoomed in the circle does not end where it should. When Smart dimensioned it doesnt line up with the size specified and ends up a tiny off.

I would be grateful for a point in the right direction.

This is an AutoCAD forum.

The SolidWorks forum is futher down.

Looks to me like you simply need to increase the resolution.

Thank you for the reply.

No joy unfortunately.

Will repost in the correct forum.

Thanks

It happens on every file.

This is just a dimensioned circle, but on my system the dimension lines don't line up to the circle.

Thanks

Meaningless.

Sounds like you are worried about graphics limitations, not geometry problems.

I believe it probably is a problem with graphics.

But I know for a fact that it worked at one stage but now doesn't.

The issue means that whenever a circle is used it cannot be connected to lines so cannot be extruded. Halting any work that I am trying to do.

Apologies that this is such a trivial problem and thank you for trying to help.

Why didn't you attach a file that exhibits this behavior?

If it is a graphics problem rather than a geometry problem it will still extrude.

If it is a geometry problem then you are doing something wrong.

Attach a file here that doesn't extrude.
