sim_rx3 Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Hi Guys, since im getting some help on Lisping etc i thought id share a great little feature we have here. Basically it puts all your opened drawings as a folder either above or below the working area of AutoCAD (we have it on 2004 to 2009 and it works with all) Instructions - Create folder as shown below on your hard drive C:\Program Files\caelink this is so if you ever upgrade AutoCAD it wont be ripped form the AutoCAD folder. and paste file – cl-DwgMan_07-08.arx into it (zip file attached) Then while autocad is open type appload Then navigate to the above directory and load file shown above. Little folders are shown either above or below the drawing with all opened drawings names. You can right click on the folders to set a preference of having it either above or below working area of drawings (i prefer above). like the .JPG ive attached. Off memeory its called DWGMAN if there is a copywrite issue let me know and ill take it down. cl-DwgMan_07-08.zip Quote

sim_rx3 Posted October 21, 2008 Author Posted October 21, 2008 awesome thanks. its a great little tool. as you can close drawings by just right clicking on the "folder" and selecting close drawing. by having ya option to save when closing drawing you wont accidently loose any added content to the drawing ya closing in the background either.. options - Quote
Rooster Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Does anyone else get the 'flickering' when switching between drawings using this tool? Is there any way to stop it? Quote
sim_rx3 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Posted October 29, 2008 hi man. um never had that issue at all and were using it on versions 2004 to 2009. might be an idea to goto the link TimSpangler has posted and ask the creators.. Quote
Rooster Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 might be an idea to goto the link TimSpangler has posted and ask the creators.. found this note on their website: Please note, we are having problems working with Microsoft Vista and XP 64 and do not support these versions at this time. Drawing Tabs will install within the Vista operating system, but has video problems and causes the screen to flicker. I guess I need to keep an eye out there for a fix.... Quote
sim_rx3 Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 ah well there ya go. sorry if i've led anyone down the garden path. we still use xp here.. Quote

AcRxDynamicLinker failed to load 'C:\Program Files\caelink\cl-DwgMan_07-08.arx' C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2004\acad.exeUnable to load cl-DwgMan_07-08.arx file. TimSpangler Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I am sure that if you email Micheal, he may have an old one for 2004.. It never hurts to try. They are very good at getting back to you. Quote
