slimjim Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Hi all, I have recently taken a AutoCAD C&G qualification at my local college and was wondering if anyone knows of a website that I can get example engineering drawings to try to replicate because i am trying to build up a portfolio to show prospective employers. The stuff I have done at college is quite basic and I would like to try something a little bit more challenging. Quote
Tankman Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Welcome slimjim to the forums. What type of drawings are you lookin' for? Quote
slimjim Posted October 21, 2008 Author Posted October 21, 2008 Welcome slimjim to the forums. What type of drawings are you lookin' for? Im looking for 2D drawings of engineering components if possible. Anything that will challenge me in 2D. Quote
hotrodz0321 Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I searched google images for "engineering drawings" and it resulted in a number of different drawings that I could reproduce. Quote
rkent Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Do you have a drafting text like "Technical Drawing" by Giesecke? There are many challenging drawings in there. That book is used a lot in the states, not sure if it is used else where or not. Any good Tech Drawing book should have plenty of fodder. You can buy old copies for a few dollars on line. Quote
