amerdsp
Hello all, I am not sure what it is called but I have a solid in Inventor 2012 and I need to break it into two parts such as cutting a battery compartment cover away from the rest of the body. Is this how it is usually done, or is it better to design every part separately? Any hint or tips greatly appreciated. Thank you, A
JD Mather
Since you are using 2012 I would use multi-body solid modeling techniques (see the Vacuum tutorial in the Inventor section of the link in my signature). You could also use Sculpt - New Part after-the-fact (now). Attach your part here if you can't figure it out.
