Insert Block Issue

I have a bunch of company logos that I insert into drawings as blocks, for 90% of them there isn't an issue but the other 10% will insert at the point I selected with the actually drawing way off to one side or another. I have opened up these blocks in autoCAD and they are all right beside the origin (like my others that work), and when I zoom extents it doesn't zoom way out indicating that there might be something I was unaware of way off in the distance of my drawing.

I attached an example, the point in blue is where I clicked and for some reason it thinks the block drawing is nowhere near the origin even though I have opened it up and it is right on the origin.

Thanks for any help.

P.S. I had this issue for about 40% of my blocks but it was because they were actually no where near the origin. After moving them all to the origin it fixed the majority of them but around 10% are still not working correctly.

By origin do you mean 0,0?

The "base" might not be at the origin.

Type in "base" and see where that is.

In other words, the object might be at 0,0 but the block "base" (insertion point) might be at 500,500.

I think I said that right, but I am sure more knowledgable people will correct me if I am wrong.

A block appears at the point where you insert it. The actual objects in the block may be somewhere far away, because the insertion point for the block doesn't automatically correspond to the objects.

To be specific: open one of the blocks you're having trouble with. See where the coordinate 0,0 lies in relation to the contents of the block. If they are not in the vicinity of 0,0, move them there.

If that doesn't work, check the value of INSBASE in your block. AutoCAD doesn't automatically insert the block's 0,0 point where you specify the insertion point. If INSBASE is not 0,0, that is the point that AutoCAD places at the insertion point. For instance, if you have a point at 1,1 in the block and insert it at 5,5, the point will appear at 6,6 (assuming INSBASE is 0,0). If INSBASE for that block is 2,2 and you insert it at 5,5, the effective origin of the block is 3,3, and the point appears at 4,4.

Thank you for the replies, the base was not set to 0,0, the issue is now fixed
