treysoucie Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Ive been having problems when cutting section views and elevations using the 3dclipping command. in the viewports im seeing ghost objects and lines that do not show up in the plots, but when im viewing it in paperspace, the drawing is filled with the invinsible "Ghost" objects and lines that are in clearly not within the clipping "slice". is this just a problem i am going to have to live with, or is there a variable/command that i can implement to get rid of the nuisances? i can get a screen shot if need be. mugshot Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 may i ask if your viewport is in 2wireframe or 3d wireframe/realistic? Quote
treysoucie Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 i will get a screenshot. it is 2d wireframe Quote
treysoucie Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 this is what im getting in the viewports. the "ghost" lines and circles do not plot, but im sure you can imagine they are quite a nuisance when trying to annotate these plan drawings Quote
shift1313 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 are they located on different layers? have you tried regen or redrawall? they are located under your view menu or you can type regen, or redrawall(i think) Quote
treysoucie Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 neither command have any effect on the ghosting lines. all of the pipe and fittings are in Cadworx and have their own layers. Quote
mugshot Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 can u give me a file so that we could have a better idea? Quote
treysoucie Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 which file would you like? i cannot send the dwg's as its against company policy. the model files are quite large also. Quote
