Intelligent Leader

I have created a leader from a block and I need to have that leader automatically insert data from an object. I have tried several attempts with a the FIELD command, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

I just tried this, but in order to make it work you need to double click into the text, insert and redefine the object and the attribute you want to copy, which is much more difficult and time consuming than just doing it manually. No doubt it could be done with Lisp.

If you display your tool palettes (just type TP in the commandline) and look on the LEADERS tab you will see something similar, THIS ITEM DISPLAYS ON leader style, still just too much work, unless the text tag which accompanies the leader is so long that it might make sense.
