Srajcka Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I do't know if this is topis for LISP, but,.... I want to marge more layouts (form more files) into one file that would have all layouts,.... .... 3 files - 6 layosts (2 in one file) --> 1 file, 6 layouts,.... but i don't want copy - paste to orginals cordinate, i would like just layouts without model space, could this be possible ? Now i paste all into one dawing and than copy all layouts (open - frome tamplete - .dwg and chose layouts) but the file was to big for sanding,... Could be somehow to use layout view witout viewport to model space, that the file will be only for print (like picture) Quote
ReMark Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Do you want to end up with a drawing file or an image file? Quote
SLW210 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 You can use Design Center for this. Open the file to bring in layouts to, open Design Center and browse to file to get layouts from, drag and drop or Right-click and Add Layouts. Quote
Srajcka Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 I try DCenter, but with this i only get the shape of layout, witout the drawing inside the wievport,.... I would like to have one file with more layouts from other fils, because it would be easy to ssand one file and then they could plote what drawing thay need,.... An image, i don't know what quality the image would be,... the resault must be like drawing file, that would be abe to print frome others comps, but its not necessery to have model drawing, only the wievport in layouts,.... ReMark Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 If the other people don't need to edit the drawings why bother sending them one? Send a PDF file or send a DWF file and tell them to download AutoDesk's free viewer (they can print the drawing too). Anyway how many drawings were you trying to assemble into one big drawing? This does not, in my opinion, sound like a very practical way of sending multiple drawing files as the resultant single drawing file will be huge. Quote
Tiger Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 You have to copy what is in the Model Space for the Layouts to look the same - the layout functions as a window to the Model space. I second ReMarks suggestion, plot the drawings yourself and send them as a PDF (or DWF). You can use Batch plot or Sheet Set Manager to get all the Layouts plotted at the same time (even if they are from different files). Quote
Srajcka Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 _EXPORTLAYOUT? - Try in CIVIL 3D 2008, don't work I know to work with layouts,.... but we have abaut 10 drawings for the projcet, and then layouts for them,....Whay would like I to do that, because, when i send them and they print it (300 * ???? mm), and if 2 more layuts have the same hight, they could combine this 3, and get 900x???? mm, and zhey would spen a lot less paper,... I made the DWF from sheet, but then they can't combine more layouts to plot then and spend lass paper,... Yes i know its funny, but thay want to be economic,.... i would plot them, but thay wouldn't pay,... For me, i preper layouts good, and use sheet for printing (more files),.... Quote
ReMark Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 It's your job to supply them with the drawings not figure out how to save them paper. They could always save paper by printing the drawings (not to scale) on smaller sheet sizes. Quote
SLW210 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Your profile has you are using Civil 3D 2010. Quote
alanjt Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Use ETransmit to create a zip file with all referenced files and send them to the people. For printing, give them a DWF or a PDF. Use Sheet Set Manager for batch plotting on multiple files or Publish for multiple layouts. Quote
