Undaground_King Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Hi, I've been given the task to produce a fire and safety plan for a vessel which I've done the General Arrangement for. We are looking at buying the standard required from the standards board, but they are still unsure if it will contain the library for symbols to be used. I've been searching around the net looking for a site which my allow a download of this library. Does anyone know if the symbol library will be sent to me along with the standard, or even better if there was a place I can download the libary, or even if someone has this library and would be willing to send it to me. The standard involved is ISO 17631:2002 Quote
Organic Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I just had a quick glance at the standard and it shows all the symbols to be used and how they should be used. It even has a few example plans in it. I doubt you'll get an actual CAD .dwg library of the symbols though. You could probably create the whole library yourself in 2 to 3 hours while referring to the standard, there is only 20 to 30 more complicated symbols (hatching wise). Quote
Undaground_King Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 yeah I've come to the same conclusion. I've had a look around and there are sites that you can buy the library of symbols in a package but I dont really need the 1000's of vinyl signs that cme along with it. Just need the symbol library really. Oh well, I'll wait for the standards authority to call back and see if the package includes an electronic set of symbols as requested. Quote
