norm Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Hi all, I have been spending a lot of time setting up blocks, dwt, templates files for the Cad section, and when i go into these files i find that someone has modified them. is there some way that i can protect these files Quote
BlackBox Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Consider placing them in a location that is read-only, or that IT has limited write-access to yourself (and a few others?). Another option would be to store them on a removable disk drive (external). All of our Enterprise support files (i.e., blocks, CUI, icons, LISP, profiles, CTB/STB, etc.) are stored on the network, where myself and a few others have write-access. All users have read-only access, but are provided personal network space that is incorporated into our deployment, where the users can place their own 'custom' support files (we encourage creativity).
