Insert and then Stretch a Dynamic Block Using VLISP

We have a wonderful dynamic block for some grating that when stretched will not only show the new length but will add the additional bars for this added length. I'm thinking it would be nice to use this block in my automated drawing process. I can insert the block with no trouble, but when it comes to stretching it I've done it by manually BEDIT'ing the block.

Is it possible to have VLISP code to somehow grab the grip in the block and stretch it out to the desired length?

Thanks, I discovered that one through some searches too, but it's rather cloudy to me on how to make it work. In the meantime I've come up with some nice code which draws the grating sections on the fly, spaces the bars out evenly and does it both in a frontal and side view. Once again, the VLISP code doesn't dissappoint.

I've been trying for a while to something similar. Could you possibly upload your block so I can see how you did it please?

Glen1980,

Would love to oblige but I'm under confidentiality agreements with this place which would make that a no-no. There's some really great tutorials out there on dynamic blocks. I did one on a door the other day which I think I found at Finklestein's website.

And my resolution for this came by tossing out the dynamic block. Grating which has a bunch of bars spaced on a matrix makes a perfect candidate for mathematically drawing with code and that's what I did.
