canyon289 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Hi, I have a very simple problem but I'm having a hard time finding an answer. Is there an easy way to align rectangle centerlines? Similarly is there an easy way to align circle centerpoints either vertically or horizontally? Thanks in advance Quote
JD Mather Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Move with tracking? I'm having a hard time understanding the exact problem - can you attach the file here? Quote
canyon289 Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 I created two randomly placed rectangles. How can I align the centerlines of the rectangles to be colinear, vertically or horizontally? Thank you for the help rectanglealignment.dwg Quote
RobDraw Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Circles are easy. With your properties box open select all of them and assign the appropriate X or Y coordinate. I think the rectangles have to be done one at a time. Mr. Mather's method is the way I would do it. Quote
eldon Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Use the Mid between two points Gives you this in one move Quote
canyon289 Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 I did this but I'm having trouble with the Align command. I know it's super basic but whats the step by step. I apologize for having to ask at this level. Thank you Quote
eldon Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I used the Move command, not the Align command Quote
BIGAL Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Re circles there is an option hardly used when doing commands you can .X or .Y and it will ask for another point and use that points X value etc. Quote
