rkent Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Your UCS is not set to World, UCS, World Plan, World If you were working in 3D then you will need to rotate the UCS to the plane you want to work in, plines only work in one plane. Quote

Once you sort your UCS you will be back in business. Just so you know, there is another kind of polyline specific to unfettered 3 dimensional use, which is 3Dpolyline. Enter 3P at your commandline to use it. It is not as configurable as a regular polyline, but it does work fine in a 3D perspective or environment for somewhat rudimentary drawing. Quote
paulsm11 Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 thanks guys, that was it!! is there a short cut as to whats happened because i dont remember changing the ucs at all!? Quote
Dadgad Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 If you select an orthogonal view from the VIEWS toolbar or the VIEW palette on the ribbon it will change your UCS. Which, if you are interested in being able to use polylines while drawing is a good thing. Just remember to reset to WCS or to TOP VIEW when you are through. Quote
