Change Mtext color while typing

Is there any way to chance the color of my text WHILE I am typing it for my multileaders? It is showing on a really faint green and I cant read what I am typing. Keep in mind, I would rather NOT change model space color because I love it

Do you have your Editor Background set to Opaque?

 

(The following assumes you use MTEXT which multi-leaders do use.)

 

Once you get the text editor up ready for typing right click inside of it and choose and look for Editor Settings then choose Opaque Background.

 

This will only affect the text editor and not your view background color.
