Mister Blonde
I keep running into this problem when I import a file, whether it is a dwg, step, iges or ipt from some parts libraries into inventor they appear translucent. I go to change the material, and it changes the color, but it is still translucent. It is really annoying, and I don't know how to fix it. Any ideas? I attached a picture of one of the parts I am having trouble with. Thanks in advance.
Denimoth
This thread would get more of the right attention if posted in the Inventor part of the forums. I'm not sure what it's called, but if I right mouse click over my assembly (or whatever transparent part you have), there's an option that is "Enabled". Unelecting this option makes my inserted assemblies transparent. Edited March 6, 2012 by Denimoth Clarifying what I'm talking a-boot
JD Mather
Click on Options when importing. Somewhere I wrote a paper on using neutral format files converting surfaces to solids. A Google search might turn it up.
