UPdrafter Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Can't seem to find it anywhere else, but bumped into this site on my search, and it looks really good, so mebbe someone has a suggestion. I googled & site searched for this, but I beg your pardon if I missed the answer somewhere. We have received a bunch of Tiff files (bitonal images inserted as raster images) from a client that I use as backgrounds at least until I have time to draft (by tracing) actual linework. I've been switching over to 08 lately because we're running out of 06 licenses, and I discovered that the images display very differently in 08 than 06. the 06 version looks great, but in 08, the lines in the Tiff are so fat, that it gets very blurry & looks terrible, when zoomed out. when zoomed in they appear to be the same. can't find any reason for it, and am at my wits end. all suggestions are appreciated. thx tried the IMAGEQUALITY setting from post 2, but it had little effect, so I did some more investigating and found that the IMAGEQUALITY setting had no obvious effect on the actual print quality (to 11x17 or PDF, though the print preview looks as bad as the screen). The problem is how badly it appears on the screen, making it look sloppy & difficult to trace. I've added and clarified the screenshots below: 06 Draft: 06 Draft - Print Preview: 06 High: 06 High - Print Preview: 08 Draft: 08 Draft - Print Preview: 08 High: 08 High - Print Preview: Quote
hotrodz0321 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 try this type IMAGEQUALITY at the command line...then select HIGH if it isnt already selected... Quote
