Zeds Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 How do I edit line types? whenever I copy this particular existing line type into the other drawing the text style changes. There is no way of editing it when I go to the line's properties, please help. I want to change the line type's Text style. Quote
rickh Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 The text style is defined in the .lin file associated to that particular linetype. First though, I would check the text styles in your drawings. For example, if you have "Standard" text style defined as simplex font in one file, and then defined as arial in the other file, your text styles are in conflict - not your linetype definitions. if you do have to change the text style of the linetype definition, you'll have to find the .lin file it came from (the default is acad.lin and located in your support path directories). If you find the right .lin file, you will see the name of the linetype, and within that you will see the name of the text style it uses. You can change it as needed, then reload the linetype in any drawing where it already exists in order to redefine it. Quote
nestly Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 What he said ^^^^ It's likely not the linetype definition per-se, but that the two drawings use different fonts for a commonly defined Text Style. Quote
