Guinnessman Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Hi all I have developed a problem which has me stumped. I have done a drawing of some storage racking, which on my layout I have displayed in 3 viewports. One is a plan view (shade plot - as displayed), one the front elevation (shade plot - as displayed) and the other is in a perspective view (shade plot - hidden). Most of the work I do we plot in this way and I have never had any problem. For some reason, when I try to print this one off, the plan and front elevations print fine, but the perspective view is blank. If i preview before plotting it shows up fine, and just to make it even more odd, if i print it as a PDF, it all comes out fine! WHY??! Any ideas what I'm missing?? Ta Quote
SLW210 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I moved this to the AutoCAD Drawing Management & Output forum. Sounds like a printer setup issue. Can you post the drawing or some screen shots? Quote
Guinnessman Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 03269-02.dwgIt could be, but this is just an alternative layout option for the client. ie, the first drawing I did plotted fine less than an hour ago. I then saved the drawing as -02, reconfigured the storage bays in the drawing, went to plot, and for some reason it won't do the hidden perspective view. DWG attached. Quote
Dadgad Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 When I tried to Print Preview it, I got the following feedback at the commandline .....Command: _preview The selected layout has an invalid hardcopy configuration. Quote
SLW210 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Plots fine here, print preview... Quote
Guinnessman Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 Yeah, it shows up on my plot preview too, it just doesnt plot when it actually gets sent to the printer for some reason. Quote
Guinnessman Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 I have copied everything into a new drawing. All seems to be printing ok on this one, although I don't see why it wouldn't before. It's the same template drawing! Quote
rkent Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 It plotted fine to an HP T770. But it sounds like you got is fixed, probably has to do with saving down to 2002. Quote
