Bogbadbob658 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Can anybody explain to me why the pivot point on roof slabs located on the top? I can't workout anyway of accurately located the roof slab to the top of the wall. I realise you can offset it but it means you to calculate it for different pitches and thickness'. Am I the only person who thinks it would be more sensible to locate it on the bottom or am I missing something? Quote
danellis Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 It seems to be based on the roof style definition. My firm has some styles where it's on the top of the roof, and some where it's on the bottom. FWIW I agree with you and always use one of the styles with the pivot-point on the bottom. To control it, I think you need to edit the roof slab style and make sure that the "thickness" is set to a positive value on the components tab. dJE Quote
