Been using AutoCAD since the days of DOS, but feel like a newb on this issue.

My boss received an AutoCAD drawing. He opened and worked on it in DraftSight.

He brought it to me to help with some issues. I opened it in C3D with no problems and the standard this is a non ACAD created DWG message.

I cannot zoom in on any thing in the DWG. I searched the forums / net for info, but all that I can find is that they recommend a regen to zoon in.

I tried that and it didn’t work. I used the zoom command and picked close endpoints of two objects and it would not zoom. The message about you have zoomed in as far as possible keeps showing up.

Can't zoom in within in a paper space viewport either. Objects are drawn at full scale, it is a civil site plan base (no 0.00007 lengths and stuff).

I Wblocked it out and had the same issue, but no issue when I insert it into our base DWG.

Any help would be appreciated. Been using this PC and version of ACAD C3D 2010 for 2 years, and have no issues with other DWG’s.

Forgive the simple suggestion here, you certainly sound like you're not new... it sounds like the viewport is display locked, no?

However, the model space part is what gets me. Can you see any entities on screen in model space? Can you try Zoom OBject(s)?

Very curious.

** Edit - Love the username, BTW.

Thank you for the reply

Viewport not locked, I can zoom out within it, but not zoom in past a certain point.

I can see entities in MS, but can't zoom in to work on them.

I basically deleted everything but a circle I created the size of the site, did several super purge hard purges and it still finds 2,500 hundred entities.
