Text does not show on drgs just boxes

suddeny all my cad drawings dont show any text, just boxes, when i click on the boxes the text is still there, is there a setting lost?

This is probably it.

aka - QTEXT = On. Result: boxes where text would normally appear.

Also, don't forget to call a REGEN after change that setting (from Options or by system variable).
