jgbgod Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Mep 2012 i open my file, and a number of .shx files are missing. I run the audit command and my software locks up. What is this trying to tell me? Quote
Tiger Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 I am not saying that Audit never locks your computer up, but it can take a loong time for Audit to complete. I have yet never had Audit completely lock up on me, but for really complex and borked drawings, it can take up to 10-15 minutes (and probably more) for it to run. I would recommend let it run. Go get a cup of something. Quote
jgbgod Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 Word. Once it reached 127500 entities, it locked up. Quote
ReMark Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Anyone in your office have a more powerful computer? Quote
jgbgod Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 No. I've already met with the IT department about purchasing a new laptop. Now i need to convince my senior project manager to drop $3500. Quote
ReMark Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 This is a laptop? OK. First...reboot the computer. Then shut down ALL programs including your anti-virus program and your browser and kill any processes that are safe to do so using TaskManager then start up AutoCAD and try AUDIT again. What is the size of your swap file? Quote
